We are all familiar with the outside appearance of the terraces, villas and buildings of The
Regent’s Park, but few of their original interiors remain intact. What did they, or what might
they have, looked like in the initial years following their construction?

Paul Avis is a founding member and the current Chairman of The Decimus Burton Society.
As an architectural consultant, with a passion for how we can learn lessons from the past,
he has researched the original interiors of some of The Regent’s Park buildings and the
fashion trends of interiors of the period. His illustrated presentation will show us the
splendour of some of those original interior designs.
